Parent CEO is a collaborative task management platform designed specifically for parents. The app helps partners organize, assign, and trade household and childcare responsibilities efficiently, creating a more balanced and transparent parenting partnership.

Getting Started

Installation

  1. Download the App

  2. Create an Account

    • Open the app and tap "Register"
    • Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up with Google/Apple
    • Follow the verification steps to confirm your account

Initial Setup

  1. Complete Onboarding

    • Set your parenting style preferences (Authoritative, Permissive, etc.)
    • Define your work style (Full-time, Part-time, Stay-at-home, etc.)
    • Add children's information including ages and specific needs
    • Connect health devices if desired for personalized insights
  2. Invite Your Partner

    • Navigate to "Invite Partners" section
    • Enter your partner's email address
    • Add a personalized message (optional)
    • Send the invitation and wait for them to join

Using Key Features

Managing Tasks

  1. Viewing Tasks

    • Navigate to the Tasks tab to see all current tasks
    • Use filters to sort by status, assignee, or due date
    • Swipe between task boards for different categories
  2. Creating a New Task

    • Tap the "+" button on the Tasks screen
    • Fill in task details (name, description, frequency, etc.)
    • Assign to yourself or your partner
    • Set reminders and due dates
    • Save the task
  3. Completing Tasks

    • Tap on a task to view details
    • Click "Mark as Complete" when finished
    • Add notes or photos if needed as proof of completion
  4. Trading Tasks

    • Navigate to "Trade Tasks" section
    • Select the task you want to trade
    • Choose the task you want in return
    • Add a message explaining the reason for the trade (optional)
    • Send the request to your partner

Notifications Management

  1. Viewing Notifications

    • Tap on the Notifications tab to see all alerts
    • Trade requests appear at the top with action buttons
    • Task reminders and updates appear in chronological order
  2. Responding to Trade Requests

    • Open the trade request notification
    • Review the proposed task exchange
    • Accept or decline with an optional message
    • If accepted, task assignments will update automatically

Profile and Statistics

  1. Viewing Your Profile

    • Navigate to the Profile tab
    • See your task completion statistics and history
    • View balance of tasks between partners
    • Track trends in task completion over time
  2. Updating Settings

    • Go to Settings from your profile page
    • Edit personal information
    • Change password
    • Update notification preferences
    • Manage connected devices and insights

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Partner Invitation Not Received

  • Verify the email address is correct
  • Check spam/junk folders
  • Resend the invitation after 24 hours
  • Consider using the "Share link" option instead

Tasks Not Syncing

  • Ensure both partners have stable internet connections
  • Force close and restart the app
  • Check that both users are running the latest app version
  • Contact support if the issue persists

Login Problems

  • Reset your password using the "Forgot Password" option
  • Ensure your email is verified
  • Try alternative login methods (Google/Apple)
  • Clear app cache and try again

App Performance Issues

  • Close other apps running in the background
  • Ensure your device has sufficient storage space
  • Update to the latest version of the app
